Leaving on a jet plane at an airport where you still walk outside to board the plane. And so starts a quick weekend to Phoenix.
Travelling to Phoenix for the Advance for Design Summit (Experience Design). I carry the Pencam with me, but since it won't work with the Mac I am limited to the 26 shots. So I am especially frugal with it. I think these shots sum up some impressions - minus the tour of Taliesin (another album coming from the Canon). The only thing I didn't shoot was the acres of swimming pools at the Hyatt. Somehow I kept going there without the camera or at night when the camera didn't work. The weather was hot, 90 degrees at 7 am and the afternoons over 100. Sitting inside in airconditioning all day in windowless rooms was the experience for most of the weekend. A few brief moments in the morning for a walk and then in the evening for dinner or to sit in the bar outside, drink with friends and talk about the days events. It was a lot of fun, hot as hel and silly me forgot a bathing suit. Never did venture into the acres of pools. I got caught in a monsoon rainstorm while driving to eat dinner with friends Saturday night - found out later that whole blocks near our hotel went without power and that someone died when the powerlines fell on their car. I am very lucky since I did drive through it. The cloud picks are the thunderheads I saw as I was walking to my car to drive to dinner. The weekend was fun, energizing while being very tiring and full report will be in DesignWritings in a day or so. All images popup to a larger version.
