Biking at Shoreline :: 08.26.01 |

Went biking today at Shoreline Park, actually slightly north of there in the Baylands preserve. It was fabulous and we rode until the sun set.
Except for the shot of David at the top, all of these pics are from our afternoon jaunt to Shoreline. We rode out from the San Antonio St. parking area and headed north west - right into the setting sun and the wind. The wind was so strong it was like riding uphill the whole way. I was glad I had the fat tires on my bike. Earlier in the week I had been cursing them for feeling so slow on the streets. We went a few miles - into Palo Alto Baylands area - then turned around. Much easier going with the wind at our backs. Then we crossed over off the gravel path onto the paved area and rode into Shoreline park proper. We went down to the little inset lake and then turned around and went back up to the parking lot. Turned out to be about 45 - 60 minutes of riding. Then we were off to get coffee. The pics are of the bay and the marsh lands. A couple shot of my shadow while riding. Very hard to maneuver a Pencam while riding a bike over rocky terrain.
