an old dock gate down at Alviso. this is such a beautiful area. i would have liked to have seen it before the bay was drained down here and all the salt ponds created.
the rest of the portraits we shot at sheila and rose's birthday celebration. for me, this was a step into shooting people. overall the lighting was a little low so the exposures were long and there are some instances of blurring and movement, but I think they came out ok and make a nice series.
sheila's birthday is today—happy birthday little sister—and last night we celebrated with cake and presents (because parents were heading out to go home today). in the presents were some odd figures—the cowgirl and the goat. i leave the storyline up to you folks to figure out.
